SOLAS LED Emergency Floodlight SOLAS is a new generation of LED luminaire. Using ultra bright LEDs, it produces a white more focused light than an equivalent 70 HPS lamp. Available with a self contained battery, it can also be used for backup emergency lighting.
The long life of the LEDs makes it possible to use the luminaire continuously in normal operation (maintained), while still ensuring illumination in the event of a power failure. Alternatively it can simply be used as an emergency luminaire (non-maintained). The unique characteristics of the SOLAS offer a flexible luminaire that is as well suited to providing focused are lighting, illuminating safety critical areas in an emergency situation. A remote inhibition facility is available on all emergency versions.
The range is available with options for operation down to -55ºC making it ideal for low temperature applications. |

EVOLUTION II Floodlight
Evolution II
is the
new asymmetric beam version of the
Evolution floodlight, and it shares the same features that have
made this the preferred floodlight luminaire in use since 1997 for hazardous area applications on North Sea
offshore platforms, and many FPSO (Floating Process Storage Offloading)
vessels, and other applications worldwide.
Evolution II and Evolution have no cover bolts or threads to get in the way of quick relamping. There are no exposed flame paths. The need for maintenance on the flamepaths is removed due to the only flamepaths being located within the IP67 seal of the gear cover. The Evolution can be classed as maintenance free.
Easy access to lamp and control gear. Simply open the IP67 terminal housing with one allen screw, loosen up the terminations, and slide out the lamp socket to relamp.
This luminaire achieves optimum lighting levels and minimum maintenance costs, and can replace at least two (2) rectangular Zone 1 floodlights owing to the asymmetric lighting distribution design. |

NEXLED Bulkhead Luminaire
NEXLED
emergency bulkhead luminaire has been introduced by oil
and gas industry lighting specialist
Chalmit Lighting. Providing instantaneous bright white light, the
compact low energy units are not adversely affected by extreme low
temperatures. This ensures a dependable long-life with low maintenance,
making NEXLED an ideal and cost effective alternative to traditional
fluorescent and HID emergency lights. Further, the luminaires’ low power
consumption minimises the drain on UPS resources. Designed in accordance with requirements for ATEX Category 2 and suitable for Zone 1 and 21 areas, NEXLED have widespread applications in onshore and offshore exploration, production, processing and storage. With die cast corrosion resistant marine grade aluminium enclosures, toughened glass covers, silicone rubber gaskets and stainless steel fasteners, they are also suitable for use in other harsh industrial environments where there is exposure to high levels of dust and moisture.
LT-option with internal battery heater provides full light output to -40ºC. and full battery duration. |

PROTECTA III Ex e Fluorescent Luminaire Protecta III is the answer for applications in Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas where restricted mounting height or emergency-on light sources are needed. Protecta III features the Chalmit Lighting electronic ballast that has outstanding electrical immunity to mains disturbances including over-voltage, harmonics and spikes.
Protecta III offers full compliance and has ATEX, CSA and GOST 'R' approvals, better photometric output, vastly improved emergency performance and new features that offer savings on installation, service and maintenance cost. Emergency self-contained battery model certified T4 temperature rating at +55ºC ambient is a standard product. |
